Traveled to Cinderveil to aid our sister guild. Picked up a shadowy companion, Vex, and located coven activity warded by heavy magic. Once past the gates, found out the hard way that their aberration lap dogs are immune to fire damage. With Leowin acting as a distraction, we where able to free the hostages and curried favor with the ruling family (Not sure of spelling: Lady Clairisilia, Wood Elf, of the Medendara Family), only to be buried alive. Luckily us would be rescuers where rescued. In the end it would seem that Leowin gained more than just favor with the lady.

ACT1 E1

We traveled to a tavern just outside of Wintervaeld at the request of Aeowin who came to our guild for aid. Ultimately we found this tavern to be a front for a thieves guild, and was being threatened by a member corrupted by the rift. Pevo learns from Aeowin that she knows of people in her trade that can help him obtain darkvision. Definitely must follow up on that!

ACT2 E3

While called to a meeting at House Agerious in Cindervaeld, an explosion in the prison located beneath the party alerted us to coven activity. We eventually would find out that most of the prisoners where converted into spider like magic absorbing aberrations, as well as a rift torn and acid burned crevasse had breached the ancient dwarven underground ruins. This 150+ foot drop facilitated the prisoner's escape. Due to our illiteracy in the dwarven language we could only speculate as to the writing on the walls of these ruins. After a long and grueling engagement with the aberrations in the prison we where told we must proceed into the ruins. We ended up finding the lone survivor of the prisoners and eventually fought the last rift inflicted creatures. With some combat acrobatics from Pevo, we learned that the weaker spider riding on top was not resistant to the attacks. Now Pevo is wondering if they were spitting the damage the larger spider/crab mount was taking between them. With some fancy sword throwing skills from Evindel, the magic absorbing protrusions above the eyes of the mount where slashed, which may of terminated the creature's ability to absorb further magic. Levy proceeded with his gun slinging and wounded the angered rider that left, or rather detached itself from, its mount to attack Evindel. The rider was finally dispatched by the group and what finally took the down the last half of the remaining beast was an endless stream of blows delivered by Dolar our monk. In the end we accounted for all the escaped prisoners and retrieved one of the rift transforming concoctions that enabled this chaos.

ACT1 E4

A guild member went missing on their way to Cindervaeld. As we went looking for them we ran into a group of bandits extorting travelers. After forcibly disbanding the group we found a letter among their leader indicating that Z levied a price on our heads in order to keep the guild out of their way. Pevo at this point feared for our missing guild member. The bandit tracks lead further into the forest where fending off encounters became a difficult task due to the mental strain placed upon us by the nature of the woodlands. Through the haze and confusion we realized we gained what seemed to be an extra party member, Old Fel. She was willing to guide us to where the bandits where residing, the most likely place our guild member would be. For the price of the undead bodies we had just slain she worked a strange magic that opened a pathway through the woods. This path allowed us to make it an old decrepit keep that used to be abandoned. Wanting to avoid what would seem to be a heavy battle to fight our way in, we stealthily made our way around to the rear where we found another entrance. Looking around the first room we had no clue as to where our missing member was detained should they be here. However, A strange name, The Conductor, was mentioned by a few individuals above us. None of us could make head or tails about this individual, but their arguing led us to believe at the very least we have found the leaders of these bandits. We decided to sneak our way up to this group, hoping to find our member there. Mason unfortunately slipped up, alerting them to our presence. The battle was brutal, but as their leaders began to fall one by one the bandits serving them decided they wanted nothing to do with us. We took the mage hostage, and eventually found our missing guild member shackled in one of the lower floors. I fear we will have to learn more of who this "Conductor" is, that is working with Coven of Zul.

ACT1 EP5

We have confirmed that the Coven of Zul has now gained the support of at least one Noble house, whom helped hide experiments on people at the House of Healing. At this once religious place, people were held captive, where they once sought add for their ailments. We found that the new extension to the building was build atop a secret cellar where these experiments where conducted. There we came across a necromancer and a paladin for one of the noble houses. When fighting the necromancer, she drained the life of her comrade in order to save her own. In the end we dispatched the necromancer, however with the noble dead, we found ourselves in a sticky situation with our guild now facing a declaration of war.

ACT2 EP4

In our search for Lady Clarissiel at the royal academy we ran into a handful of spine devils also looking for her. We found that Keeper Celwin Kervigar has been offered our Lady as payment through a bond with a Devil. We search his office uncovering papers of covin members. Through the detection of magic we find a hidden compartment within his desk. Not understanding that the magic was a trap, we set off a stink cloud spell within the room, but not before we where able to snatch a book that will help us decode his papers. Lady Clarissiel informs us that her bond allows her glimpses of the Keepers actions and location. We head to his home with the news. After dispatching a few of his cult members we fight what we thought was the Keeper only to find that this person was an imposter and that our Lady had been keeping information about her true intentions from us. In exchange for the lifting of her bond with the Devil Cerezrial, she would have kill the Keeper. At that moment the Devil appears offering an extension of the contract in exchange for our blood. Out of magic, Pevo relents and offers up his blood. For now Lady Clarissiel has another month, and we return to the guild with valuable information.

ACT1 EP3

In the Evermoors we head to Our Camerindel with word of arcane anomalies at the academy. Ernaldis Cordanan, or whom we thought was Ernaldis, met us at Normalwick and lead us to the main tower for the academy, where we found ourselves trapped once inside. After taking care of a few undead, and joining forces with a few of the students, we found ourselves in the library up against the missing solders whom where possessed by some unknown entity. Pevo was hesitant to harm any of them, however, as soon as we put up an illusion of a barrier, the solders formed a defensive line and advanced upon our position. We attempted indirect attacks to slow down their advance and the twins, El and Mara, lit them up with force and fire magic. Eventually the line, minus one solder, made its way to us and as Pevo shocking grasp felled the solder on the end the rest of the line fell unconscious. Pevo disturbed by the destruction of a few of the arcane books in the library tore himself from such a travesty and focused his attention on the poor solders. What wicked people would turn our own watch against us. Was it Rin, the student that went crazy was responsible for taking the rest of the students hostage. Rin, who killed Morrick, turned him into a ghost that now follows us up the tower. We cannot know for sure but we continue our way to the fourth floor to find this wayward student. When we do see Rin something seems off. He is standing next to a rift. He does indeed show signs of the necrotic energy draining him of his life, yet he still stands. After a brief exchange of words, Jonzu attempts to surprise him with a destructive blast of thunder, but to our surprise Rin is unaffected, protected by the Rift. Pevo throws the rift breaker to disrupt the chaos that has formed behind him, but the rift will not go out. At this oddity Pevo notices an orb that seems to have stabilized the rift protecting the barrier from our attempts to bring it down. Pointing this out, El and Mara both quickly destroy the orb with their twins magic. Finally the rift breaker's power is allowed to take effect causing the barrier to collapse in on itself. At the moment Pevo attempts to take Rin in for questioning by the guild, an air genasi named Davos Saris appears out of a doorway congratulating us. The Covin of Zul is watching us. With that he leaves, giving Ernaldis, who we now know to be an imposter, a final command to finish us off. Unfortunately for the fake Ernaldis, he was no match and quickly fell to our blade ending in a pool of acid spewed forth by Jonzu. With the tower now freed we gained two more mortal guardians El and Mara.

Once again headed to the House of Healing. This time it would seem that the estate was better guarded. Still we ended with the guild at war with the Nobles and though a side scene listened in as the Conductor planed for the our parties destruction.

Side Quest: Goblins 9/16/2022

In search for a lost half orc girl in some ruins we inadvertently opened a pathway releasing skeletons. The battle was fierce and we decided to move the statue back revealing our previous path where we found a shoe. Thinking it to possible belong to the girl we continued our search and found goblin markings indicating a near by pool. This room did indeed contain a pool along with a statue with glowing lights. Unfortunately we disturbed the pool only to realize it was really an ooze. Fortune was on our side however as the monk was able to stun the creature and we finished it off with quick haste. In search of the statue we realized that the hand was missing something and our search revealed a shiny object in acid water. The seeing the shiny immediately jumped in and ended up taking damage from the swim, but in the end we recovered what appeared to be a marble mirror. One we placed it back on the hand a secret passage opened up for us and lead us down a lit hallway with more goblin markings warning of us of the shadows. We finally met up with the goblin that was maintaining the sconces and markings, however, he did not see the girl. Back at his camp we realized the shoe belonged to him and offered to get him out of this maze, but first we must continue our search for the girl. Mazeraac offered Pevo a bandoleer filled with oil flasks (4 in total) to keep the shadows away and deeper into the maze we went. Eventually we found ourselves in a web filled room where I noticed not only the spiders coming down for us, but also the girl hiding in a corner. The spiders would of made for fierce rivals, but we out numbered them with our constructs and eventually whittled them down one by one, keeping their attention away from the girl. Noticing that the lady wished to become an adventurer, Pevo offered up his bow and arrows. Honestly he figured this would keep her out of harms way where she can shoot anything that came our way from a distance. Luckily there was no need for her to try out her skill with the bow as we found our way out to safety.

ACT1 EP6

On our way back we found our guild under attack an on fire. We quickly moved in to provide aid and ended up following an elven assassin toying with Cindry. Leading us to the courtyard we the assassin with the noble next to a rift. One of the noble's solders threw himself into the void after plunging himself with a sacrificial blade. Cindry trying to stop this got pulled into the void and our team quickly pursued. Finding ourselves on top of a tower in a dark realm we can face to face with aberration the solder turned into. Cindry pointed out a quick way down to get away from the creature. Ula with her flying broom helped Pevo down, while the rest of the group took their chances with sliding as much of the way down as they could. Only Cindry had an issue and ended up plummeting to his death, but our group would not let him die today and healed him before his wounds would of become mortal. After some time to process what had happened, Pevo realized this was the Veil d'Umbra, a shadow plane. We found an unlikely ally, Vex, and made our way back up the tower not knowing of any other way out. After watching us fight our way back up, Vex offered us aid to take on the aberration blocking the rift back home. We accepted his offer and when ready confronted the creature. Pevo attacked first but was unable to harm the creature with a direct hit with his shocking grasp. Many of the other seeing this held their turn. Vex, burden of sadness, shared this grief with the creature allowing our attacks to affect it. Much of the group was able to land blows that would cause it damage. But Vex's abilities where fleeting, and the despair that once surrounded us was lifted. Pevo made a critical hit but at this point the creatures defenses where back up. He yelled everyone only attack during the sadness, and thus everyone held their turns once more waiting for Vex to work his magic. The creature attempted to attack Pevo and others and managed to land a few blows. Thanks to Pevos protection for good and evil spell though it had a hard time affecting him. The third time was all it took to finally fell the creature and as Pevo suspected the rift had begun to close. Quickly we all made our way through the rift almost loosing one of our party. In the end we thought we had left Vex back in the shadow plane but may not of been the case.

Side Quest: In Life and Death

Restaurant that catered to lovers was loosing customers at the lovers lookout. When our party went to investigate we ran into a hate filled undead creature. With a little bit of lucked our monk was able to restrain it delaying his attacks and giving us the time needed to remove his summoned spectral allies. We finally where able to bring him down as well and continued to make our way to what was probably his unmarked grave. When we heard some scratching we realized someone may have been trapped below and helped to dig them out. Upon freeing her of the grave we realized she was the undead creature that was causing the sweet and rotten smell, and probably the lover of the hate filled soul we had previously encountered. After leading her to where his corpse now lay, she burst out in furry and a fight broke out. The will-o-wisps surrounded her to protect her as she was shot by Dolar our monk. She had time to cast blur, hampering our attacks, however Marina with her flurry of magic missiles finally brought down her spell. With a barrage of attacks that followed by our team, Ozwald got the final blow that laid this angered spirit to rest. In the end we laid the couple back in their graves hoping they could finally find some piece. Successful in finding the cause of the will-o-wisps and turmoil at the Lover's Lookout, we returned to Orica, the owner of the restaurant, and competed our quest.

ACT2 EP7

Helping to defend the Mortal Guardian faction of Cindervaeld, we look for weaknesses in our enemies lines only to come across a group of assassins heading toward our encampment. We manage to head them off and setup an ambush. In the struggle a vial of voidrift gets thrown at our Guildmaster, but before it can go off they are teleported away to safety to Wintervaeld. With a temporary head of the guild in charge a plan is put into motion to bring a wave of Red Caps though a Fey located portal to disrupt our enemy and allow our army to take over. Once in the realm of the fey we pick sides with the fomorians against the spriggans. To get the sides to fight and spring forth redcaps in the carnage we need to get the spriggan's thorn heat shrubbery. We quickly leave to do this only to get lost immediately, but our group manages to right our direction and find the spriggan camp. As soon as Neri takes the bush an alarm goes off and we are chased back to the formorian camp. Pevo realizing that Neri is taking damage and that the bush is of a light weight uses mage hand to keep her from taking any more poison damage while running. The leader quickly takes the bush and eats it in front of the spriggans which only enrages them and an out right war unfolds. Redcaps spring up from the carnage and Pevo disguises himself as a Redcap in order to hide amongst them. With a chanting of blood in the air Pevo causes the redcaps to pour through the portal after him, spilling out into our enemy camp. With the distraction now taking place we find our enemy heading out to block a crucial path. We manage to route them taking out the captain, his mage, and company, only to find a much larger army has now approached our city. Our guild master, through the use of portals returns with reinforcements just in time to turn the battle once again. And that is where our story ends.

ACT1 EP2

We where short party members and only Lapis and I where able to take on this quest where people began missing. Once we found the temple we met Ryan as one of the guards and he was assigned to aid us in our investigation. Ultimately the head of the temple of father Ivor had lead people astray. We witnessed Ryan's brother Davin being fed to the rift and realized where the missing people had gone. With a heavy heart I sealed the rift knowing that any of the townsfolk would not be able to make it back, and we dispatched of the father.

During our mission we faced off with some small giant rats while one of our party members, Mizgos, thought he was submerged in water, and in the end, couldn't tell friend from foe. Xena, while enlarged to the size of an Ogre, dealt the final blow, literally splitting the BBEG rat man in two.

ACT2 EP8

After protecting the wall in battle we found our enemy had teleported away. Sort of wished we didn't follow then, but our mages sent us after the main commander, named Talvarrie, where we found one of their camps decimated, in what seemed to be a battle among themselves. We were alerted to an oncoming group of coven members and quickly overcame them keeping one alive for questioning, however, his mind was too far gone. As soon as we dispatched him we found ourselves in an illusion, although we would not know that for some time. Finding the commander, and seeing that we where in an illusion of his past, we made a deal to work with him to get out. It was challenging and the process to reveal the illusion for what it was strained us to the point we all took a considerable amount of damage. We where free of the illusion, however, and immediately took up battle with the commander. Reese, our fairy druid, went down in the battle and I, Pevo, was barely standing, yet we managed to bring Talvarrie down. With his last words he ask us to return his staff and in that moment the Orthia Queen made her presence known. With pure hatred for the coven because of their practice of necromancy we realized that she wished for us to destroy the coven, and if we fail or we do not proceed with haste, she would destroy our city above and those withing 1000 miles out. With that knowledge we leave back to the surface.

Basically the whole party got somewhat possessed by a ghost because of our measly saves. Side Quest:

Basic points: Albrick's garden has been raided, but because he is such a pain in the *ss nobody in the town cares to deal with him so it is up to us Mortal Guardians to take on the mission. We quickly find that goblins are behind the raid, only to find out that gnolls are behind the goblins. Man I wish I spoke Goblinoid. Anyway in the end we were able to barter a peace treaty with the town and the gnoll/goblins. Now have contact in Woodhurst, Vistiel.

ACT1 EP8

Once again we find ourselves in another plane this time in Hell with a chain Devil Amedidi Pont guiding us to free her companion Mortain. Of course we didn't know this until we found the artifact she was looking for that had trapped Mortain. By helping her though we would get information on the conductor which has been a thorn in the side of the MG. To escape Hell however we would need to defeat a champion that blocked the portal back. In the end our team came together and with Marina and my assistance we gave Khes the opportunity he needed while enlarged to headbutt the champion into crushed stone.

Well Aeowin is back with another quest. This time to help convince a Kuo-Toa to move to a cave an hour's walk from their secret tunnel system. Lets just say that Pevo now has a definite distrust of stalactites and mites.

This basically turned out to be a bug extermination mission. We tried talking to them to let us pass in exchange of a bigger meal, but believe it or not bugs do have a sense of humor as they laughed at our offer.
