Thresh
You step into The Sailors Own, a port side tavern in Waterdeep, located on Sail Street. The smell of salt, seaweed, and chum fades as you leave from the port into the establishment, greeted by the jovial sounds of music, flagons and steins of various make clacking together, and the general murmur of conversation in the bar. Scents of fresh cooked meals and exotic spices whet your palate as you peruse the fare the servers bring out of the kitchen to ale soaked wood tables. Behind the bar, a friendly assortment of tenders tap barrels of meads, ales, wines, and spirits, an ever flowing variety of drinks to be had. A layer of smoke hangs in the air from the tobacco smoked by the common customers of the establishment, hanging overhead, if only just. While the den is known for housing sailors, the room is just as welcoming to adventurers, especially those with coin. You make your way in, either to have a drink and a meal, or to meet someone to drink with, the warm nature of the inn greeting you with a chaotic calmness that only a watering hole can provide. BeesinBrazil
Orixion Noble steps into the tavern to quickly get ask the people if they have a place to get ice or so, since after getting done with what happened with the rift, he had went back to his room. To only find that his child with it being a small brown fur-blacked eye Jerbil, who had knock over the box of ice and so the contents of his food that were in the box were spilled out, and if anyone had met it, it would likely just be organs. Thing is after the Jerbil had somehow got his box that was stored with the ice were now melted, since he had often put magic on the box to keep it cool, and had to redo it after everytime when he opens. So now, he walked to go get ice from anyone or so, well if anyone had iced, if not it was the day of just eating lettcus again, and that was not really tasty. Lochlainn
Erghan Lumberfriend, a chain-armored goliath whom you may recognize from the Mortal Guardians guild hall, sits at a small table opposite the young fighter, Rian of Amphail. The two are finishing their morning meal--well, it would be more appropriate to say that Rian has finished his meal while Erghan continues his third (or was it fourth?) plate of spinach and stewed chicken. As young Rian twitches his fingers in agitated fashion he glances at the door and then back to Erghan whose shaved head and stone-like features cast a broad shadow from the sunlight in the window. Then Rian looks to the door again, then back to Erghan. "How--how much longer, ah, I mean... I mean, um..." He nudges his own empty plate and then raises an eyebrow at Erghan. "How many more--" "When I'm full," the goliath says simply with a disinterested shrug. "I'm still growing." Rian blinks at him confusedly. "Growing?" "Mmhm." Rian shifts back as if he's been told a riddle he doesn't understand. He leans in across the table and quietly explains, "You're... you're over seven feet tall already." "It's my little finger today. I can feel it." Erghan nods affirmatively and takes in a thick mouthful of mushy greens. "Needs meat." "Your little finger?" "Mmhm." "Is growing." Erghan swallows and then takes a bite of chicken. "Yup." "Today?" Rian holds his arms up in question as if the gesture will suddenly reveal the absurdity of the discussion. The goliath pauses his chewing and thinks on the notion. Pensively he looks down at his hands and then slowly extends his left hand's littlest finger--a finger easily twice the size of Rian's. His eyes focus intently on the finger and then flit towards Rian. He smiles at the young man with a subtle nod. "This one." Rian stares blankly at Erghan and weakly returns half of the smile. With a disheartened chortle he settles into the seat uncomfortably. At last Rian shrugs and releases a long sigh. "Alright. Take your time, I guess." 2
BeesinBrazil
The Half-Elf had looked over the tavern taking a small glance at everyone, but he then payed no mind, and nimbly made his way to running the bartender who was running the bar at the time. While walking his way, he did catch his attention to the goliath and someone else, he then turned his eyes back to the bartender. "Excuse me, I was wondering if you guys would have ice that I may use? The Jerbil had knocked over the box of ice I was using and had broke the magic on it." After awaiting a bit, and now having more ice, it wasn't much but it will do for now, he had the ice into a bag that had the same magic where it had kept the tempature cooler. He looked around once again, and decided that he would stay for awhile, ordering himself some water, and sitting down a table just watching the place around himself. In the hustle and bustle of the Sailors Own, a pair of Guardians make there way close to the table, it appears to be a dejected young human lady a streak of lightning across her left eye and next to her an elf with dark green skin patting her on the back. As the two make their way over to Rian and Erghan, any passers can overhear the human grumbling about furniture artisans and the ridiculous prices of a single chair. Cersei puts her hand on the table. "Rian can you believe a single chair costs 150 gold? And I have to outfit all three floors of my building with it, by Lathander's light my hoard will disappear in no time." Colette apologetically looks at the two already sitting, "Forgive her for the outburst, we've been looking at places to buy furniture the whole day and it's getting to her. May we sit with you two?" Thresh
Mizgos... was tired. He had returned to Waterdeep from his latest mission, bruised and fried from the action that comes from working with the Immortal Guardians. Shambling through the rabble of the tables, he made his way to the bar. Securing a stool, he flagged a bartender, quickly requesting a dram of dark rum and a flagon of strong ale. He let out a sigh and shrugged off his jacket, setting it on the chair next to him as he flicked out his pointed tail, a slight jingle resounding from the metals on it. He looked around the establishment, breathing a little easer seeing a few familiar faces from the guild hall. Once the drinks were placed in front of him, he greedily took to them, sinking the shot and guzzling down the tankard, signaling for another round as quick as he could get it. As he finished the ale, he let out an exasperated sigh of relief, "Oh, seven hells thats so much better." Mizgos rolled his shoulders, releasing the aches and pains that he could as he reached into his coin purse, and put a small pile of coins on the countertop. The stench of tobacco smoke made him keen to partake, but not in any rush to either. He adjusted his eyepatch as he looked for a menu, as if he knew anything, it was not to drink on an empty stomach. BeesinBrazil
Orixiron was just watching the others at the table, he never had interacted with them nor had gone any missions with them really. So he just shrugged, sipping on the glass vial of blood that was taken from some creature a while back, it was still fresh luckily. He was gonna need to replace the old spoiled blood soon since as it was getting thick and it wasn't gonna taste great and such. He then just messed with some of the bone dice that he had gotten for loot from a while back from some mission that he had done. He had decided to keep the dice since it was bones, and he likes the look of them. It is not everyday you get bone dice. Orixiron wondered if he should just go speak to the other members, and have a chat, but decided against for now and just kept messing with the dice. frontboard
Kail had been by the tavern plenty of times, on his way to and from the docks and piers of the port side of the city. But he had never entered the establishment, leery of the individuals he may meet inside. Today is different. Kail had heard murmurs that others in the Mortal Guardians frequenting the establishment as of late. Bolstered by the possibility of encountering a fellow Guardian, Kail steps inside. Scanning the room, he notices Rian dining with a Goliath he has seen, but never met, at the Guild Hall. Judging by the number of empty plates at the table, they were either very hungry or had other dining companions that had since left. Honestly, it could go either way. He then spots Orixiron, sitting at a table. Kail recalls Orixiron being part of the large group he was in that recently investigated the grounds of the Varilixian Estate. He also recalls Jerbil, whom he wanted to play with for a bit, but cultists cut the interaction short. Kail walks up and asks Orixiron if he may take a seat and if Jerbil is here to say hi. @BeesinBrazil
BeesinBrazil
Orixron looked at Kail, it took a few moments but he had recalled him too, then stated, "Well it has been awhile since we have chatted, also you may, nobody else is sitting here." with putting the bone dice back into his pockets. "So what brings you here to the tavern, food or something I'm guessing? I am mostly just here since if you remember the small Jerbil? She'd knocked over pretty much where I keep ice at, and it had melted had to get more." The Jerbil was mostly just exploring everywhere on the table at the current time, while Orixiron sips the blood drink. The Jerbil didn't need to cause more trouble for people. Dawn
A figure appears in a cloud of mist, already sitting in a chair next to Orixiron (Not the one Kail would be sitting at). Pulling down the hood of their cloak, two cat ears made by that very companion pops out, as Tenayl is revealed. They for sure remember Orixiron, maybe not name-wise, but having someone be so determined to have them eat a rotten zombie heart does give long lasting impressions. Tenayl is right away immediately distracted by the Jerbil rather than talking to Orixiron or Kail. With their innate ability to communicate with such creatures, Tenayl is simply focusing on the Jerbil, getting a read on its immediate needs. "That's a really cute Jerbil!"

He spoke this in Elvish just due to why not since he was fairly bored, and if Tenayl didn't know then it would just be awkward.

Perhaps something to retire with. With the gold you make here, should make it in no time." Miz gave her a soft smile, seeing the passion for her dream. "I understand the thought of teaching magic to those not too keen for it, perhaps something to help others understand. My hometown isn't too fond of magics in general, perhaps you could make it out there sometime, show them a thing or two." Miz smelt the stench of roasted meat and vegetables in the air as his platter arrived before him. He let out a slight chuckle at her comment on Saru's town. "I can see where you're coming from with that. Though from what I understand it is a town of, as they call themselves, 'misfits'. Offering a hand to some of them into what some would consider normalcy might help them to socialize. We Immortal Guardians are all misfits in some regard, some more than others, but not to each other." Miz makes a point of tapping a finger next to his eyepatch as he says this to help prove his point somewhat. "Not to mention, you might find a few diamonds in the rough, as it were." Mizgos grabbed up the bone of the rib meat and sank his teeth into the eye of the meat, pulling away at the tender steak. He washed it down with some grog and turned more toward Cersei, opening his body language to be more friendly and relaxed as he regains his strength with meal and drink.

"Also, I haven't really gotten a chance to name the Jerbil yet, you want to name them?" Kail takes a seat at the table and leans over toward Orixiron. ”Today hasn’t been a good fishing day. I was on my way back home and wandered by. Normally I avoid this place, but some others in the Guild have been talking about it recently so I decided to come in and see what it’s like on the inside. It’s actually nicer than I was expecting it to be. Maybe having some familiar faces helps too…” He looks around, noticing several more faces from the Guild… then is completely surprised by Tenayl showing up out of nowhere! He is about to say something but notices that Tenayl is already engrossed with Jerbil, which gives him another idea. “I may be able to be of some assistance with ice,” he says, leaning back in his chair and sitting up a bit more straight. He slides a pitcher of water closer to his side of the table, makes a small motion with his hand, and then mutters some incantation. (Kail casts Shape Water) At first the, the surface of the water starts moving gently, as if someone is jostling the table. But you soon realize that nobody is moving the pitcher or the table, especially as the movement becomes more pronounced and dramatic. Suddenly small blobs begin to rise up from the surface, animating in a rhythmic pattern before slowly merging into a shape that resembles Jerbil. The light from the room reflects and refracts off the animated water sculpture in hypnotizing patterns. Kail then motions again, repeating the incantation. With this motion, you see the surface of the water start to start to appear almost soft, a fine frost beginning to form from a few points. The frost spreads with a hissing noise until it covers the entire surface of water and sculpture. Underneath the rime, you can see the interior becoming slightly opaque, cracks forming at various internal boundaries as the entire pitcher of water and sculpture freezes solid! ”It won’t last long, but here is some ice for you,” he says. “As far as naming your companion, why not just keep it at Jerbil? The name seems oddly fitting for her.” @BeesinBrazil

Greeting the soft smile with one of her one, Cersei leans back in her chair, relaxing herself as well before starting to speak again. "Well thats the dream ain't it, coming to Waterdeep is a new start for me I'm gonna make something out of it." Playing with the drink in her glass, Cersei continues. "Mmmm a new start and a new title, you're definitely on to something haha a whole guild of misfits, every single one of us." Clearing her throat, she takes another sip of her glass. Seeing her guild mate devour his meal she looks at it with a tinge of envy before patting him on the back. "I enjoyed this talk friend, but sadly I do have to get going shout me out in the guild sometime for your hometown I'd love to head over after business settles dow- ah before I leave though." Cersei reaches out to her almost empty glass and points it towards Mizgos. "A small toast to the "Immortal Guardians" and to those that wish us well, all the rest of them can go straight to the nine hells." Mizgos held up his pint of sailor's elixir to follow with the cheers. "To ours and ours alone, friend." He knew the evening had just started, socializing was bound to wax and wain. He nodded at her comment on the assistance of home, he knew all the help he could get would be helpful. As she took off, Miz lazily spun around on his chair, savoring the food he chewed. A hot meal did the soul good, and a hearty one the body. Miz started to track his drinks a little more at this point, not wanting to cause a scene, though he knew he could hold his own. He noticed more and more familiar faces, at least from looks alone as he scanned the bar, knowing that his allies were in the area.

At the table with Rian and Colette, Colette stands up awkwardly shouts out, "Uh she's in Amphail, she isn't here" On 4/7/2022 at 2:14 PM, Dawn said: A figure appears in a cloud of mist, already sitting in a chair next to Orixiron (Not the one Kail would be sitting at). "That's a really cute Jerbil!" Turning to another table Colette says, "Ummm Cersei told me to call you Cat Ears, and that you need to buy boomboom sticks?" Colette sits back down, and through her green skin anyone can see her redden a bit, she's getting used to being more loud like this.
