Ruuby
Cersei is posted up at a table in the Mortal Guardians Guild Hall asking any of the Guardians for personal stories before their time in the Guild. In preparation for the opening of her Magic Consultation and Therapy service, she wants to gain as much knowledge as possible on peoples experiences with the arcane. Tell Cersei of a time when your character has dealt with magic or the occult, how it affected them mentally or physically, and she will give you 15 gold per story. Out of Character: A person can put multiple stories of their character(s) here, anyone can reply in character to another persons stories and ask abt it if it interests them. As for the 15 gold, when you have seen that I have clicked liked on your message then you can make an update on your character tracker updating that Cersei has given you 15 gold. feywildwitchling
Mara strolls over and takes a seat with Cersei. "Oh oh oh! Do I have a story about magic," she plops down into the seat, a smile on her face. "Wait, do you need my whole name? Is this, like," her voice drops to a whisper as she learns closer to Cersei, "on the record?" She shakes her head, "What am I saying, of course you'll need my name if it's on the record. Marasha Resankhari, and this is the story of how I got my magic:" "Growing up, my parents raised me and Elle the same. And for a while, we were. It was a blessing and a novelty. But, well. Elves have this thing about magic. They're super good at it--it comes naturally. Some half elves are also naturals at it." Mara's face falls a bit, and she quietly adds, "Elle is." "Anyway, Elle starts showing all sorts of magicky cool stuff. And I... didn't. Of course, Elle doesn't have a way with people like I do. She hates the parties we had to attend, or anything like that. I'm really good with that. My father is very proud of me there!" She smiles brightly. "But, we're talking about my magic story here." "So, I didn't want to lose my sister to magic. I love Elle. I always want to be with her. And when she got magic and I didn't, I had to find a way to get it. But I was young, so I didn't know how. I just. Prayed to the gods. I didn't expect that one would answer me." "A lammasu came to me in a dream. Told me he was a servant of Horus-Re and could give me what I asked for if I would use the magic for good. And that I may be called upon in service in the future. It was such a nice dream, I was in a palace of lavish pillows and fine silks. I can still smell the sweet incense," Mara closes her eyes and inhales deeply, reliving the memory. "When I woke up, I had my magic! It's different than Elle's, but, well. We're still together!" She smiles brightly, having finished her testimony.

A small motion from her hand to jot down the story, and then looking back at Mara. "Right, so just some things about your story. First, never feel inferior to a wizard, it fuels their hivemind ego. Second, have you had contact with this uhh patron of yours beyond the initial time?" Cersei looks over to her sword resting on the seat next to her. "I.. I think our magic might be more similar now, and I'm curious as to how your I guess deal plays out, mine seems to nag at me*sigh* something about eating brains?"
feywildwitchling
"Elle never makes me feel inferior. I just used to worry about being alone. Not so much anymore, since I know Elle won't leave me," Mara shrugs, looking at the table. She drags her fingernail across the wood. "Sagar has visited me a few times. Mostly he asks how my progress is going with my magic. Nothing like eating brains," she snickers. "But! If our magic is similar, we can help each other out in learning more about our power. Sounds like fun, yeah?" Mara leans closer to Cersei over the table.
